ATTENTION: New Proposed Resident Notification Bill
On May 25, Philadelphia City Council introduced legislation that would require property owners to give their residents six months’ notice before making a “significant lease change” (which is defined in the bill) if the change involves a planned “significant building renovation” (also defined in the bill) or because of a change in the general use of the property. The bill amends the condominium unfair conversion practices provisions of the Philadelphia Code, Chapter 9-1200. The language in Bill Number 170560 can be found below.
